Patek Philippe Ellipse Oro bianco – Ref. 3604 Jumbo –

Lanciato nel 1968, il progetto originale dell'Ellisse d'Oro è stato influenzato dalla cosiddetta "sezione aurea" scoperta dagli antichi matematici greci e le cui proporzioni "divine" hanno ispirato numerosi capolavori artistici e architettonici nel corso dei secoli. Alla fine degli anni '70, la collezione Golden Ellipse comprendeva più di 60 referenze differenti, dai grandi orologi maschili ai pezzi da donna di alta gioielleria. L'Ellipse è ora il secondo modello più antico della collezione Patek Philippe ancora in produzione dopo il Calatrava. L'attuale "TV-Screen" Ellipse, ref. 3604 è stata prodotta nel 1979, che è stato l'ultimo anno di produzione per questa referenza. Il design pulito di questo orologio è ulteriormente esaltato dal suo quadrante avorio scintillante splendidamente completato da indici romani neri dipinti. Risolutamente parte del codice di design degli anni '70, è molto facile immaginare questo pezzo al polso di un uomo elegante ma dirompente come Andy Warhol. L'orologio viene consegnato con l'estratto di Archivio.   Launched in 1968, the original Golden Ellipse design was influenced by the so-called “golden section” discovered by ancient Greek mathematicians and whose “divine” proportions inspired numerous artistic and architectural masterpieces throughout the centuries. By the late 70s, the Golden Ellipse collection encompassed more than 60 different references, from large masculine watches to high-jewelry ladies’ pieces. The Ellipse is now the second oldest model in Patek Philippe’s collection still in production after the Calatrava. The present “TV-Screen” Ellipse, reference 3604 was produced in 1979, which was the last year of production for this reference. The clean design of this watch is further enhanced by its shimmering blue dial beautifully complemented by white gold indexes. The use of caliber 28-255C, the same movement that powered the first Nautilus, enables the case to be extremely thin while enjoying the easy use of an automatic caliber.
